We met in grade 5 at Lord Roberts. She hated me back then cause I was a mean kid, which I was. I had pushed her down on snow, told the entire class about an incident that caused quite the embarrassment for her. So all in all, I can see why she had hated me. Luckily for me I had moved to another Jr High in grade 8. We still kept in touch because my close friend was her twin brother. We used to go to cultural programs and would occasionally see each other at her house when I went to visit Sajeev. No feelings... I had moved to Vancouver at the age of 23 and we had never seen each other after that. I saw Sajeev every time I went to visit Toronto but it was always our boys night out :) August of 2009 I had made another trip to Toronto. Apparently Savitha had heard that I was single and not sure what was going on in her, perhaps she can fill in more. So I was there and I saw her at a cultural show and for the first time ever when I saw her this time I reached out to hug her. The old me would not have done that as he was a shy kid. The new me on the other hand reached out. For me I must say if I had to pin point a time when things changed in me, it was that hug. Strangely after 17 years of knowing one another, it took a single hug for me to know who is in my heart. We saw each other again at Adrian’s wedding reception. She looked really beautiful. She wore this white sarree with a halter top that made her look like an angel. My vacation was over and had returned to Vancouver. We started talking on facebook while in Toronto and that extended while I was in Vancouver. I must say she was on facebook alot more than she used to be. What happened next....?
